VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City man who died in a house fire early Sunday morning in Valley City has been identified as 65 year-old Anthony Joe Mitchell.
Police Chief Phil Hatcher said no foul play is suspected in this unattended death. Mitchell’s body was transported to the State Medical Examiner’s office for an autopsy once it was located in the debris of the burned out home on Monday, January 24th.
Fire Chief Scott Magnuson said the cause of the fire remains under investigation with the State Fire Marshal’s office.
