VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – On Thursday Valley City High School Senior Amber Knutson signed her letter of intent to continue her golfing career in the city that she grew up in. Knutson will join the Valley City State University golf team this upcoming fall.

Amber wasn’t always a golfer, she started off playing volleyball but she was introduced to golf her freshman year thanks to her brother.

Some people usually like to get away from their jobs or the sport they always are playing to just relax and rest, but Knutson is in love with golf and you can bet she is almost always out on the links.

Amber has had the full support from all around her as she has carried on throughout her golfing career, and her coaches always have given her support.

Knutson, as mentioned earlier is a native of Valley City and is very happy to be staying in her home city and playing for the University that she has grown up knowing in VCSU.

With a new team comes new teammates as well as new coaches. We asked Amber if she has been in touch with the Vikings coaches and she has, and has even gotten to play a round with her future coach.

Finally, we had to ask the Hi-Liner senior if she had any big plans for the upcoming summer. Knutson will be going to work in Jamestown, and of course finding some time to check out some new golf courses.

Best of luck to Amber Knutson as she will be on the VCSU Vikings golf team starting in the Fall of 2022.
