VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City Hi-Liners softball and baseball teams has made it to the EDC tournament. Hi-Liners softball team won the EDC tournament last season, meanwhile this is just the 2nd time in the school’s history that the baseball team has made the EDC tournament.

The softball team will go into the tournament as the #6 seed. They will be on the road Tuesday to take on the #3 Seed Grand Forks Red River. First pitch for this game is set for 5pm. Coach Hilary Flatt saying that her team is ready to take on GF Red River once again.

The baseball team will go into the tournament as the #8 seed. They will also be on the road for their opening EDC tournament game. Hi-Liners will travel and take on the #1 seeded West Fargo Packers. Tuesday’s game will start at 5pm. Coach Seth Soderholm has said that making it this far has been a goal from the start of the season
