JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The final coats of paint were being applied to the Stage Coach building at the Frontier Village Wednesday morning ahead of their official summer opening Friday, May 27th.

Jamestown Tourism Experience Manager Allison Limke says this was one of many things they’ve done to prepare for the summer.

Limke says earlier this month, they had their volunteer clean-up, which resulted in multiple organizations and businesses stepping up to tidy up the site.

Another exciting addition to the Frontier Village will be two, hands-on learning sites; The Homesteader exhibit and Train Parkette.

While the weeks ahead have been spent conducting maintenance and upkeep, Limke added they have used the “off-season” to refine their new mascot. Mayor Marty Sinclair will be one of several new characters that visitors will be greeted with when they visit.

Limke says visitors will be encouraged to follow Mayor Sinclair and learn more about the Frontier Village.
