CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Carrington Post 25 played their third consecutive game in as many days on Friday and they drop to Linton/Ashley/Wishek Rattlers 7-6. Post 25 loses their first game of the season and are now 2-1 in District 4 and 2-1 overall, LAW improves to 1-1 in District 4 and 1-1 overall.

The Rattlers were leading 7-4 heading into the bottom of the seventh inning, Post 25 would score two runs to cut the gap to one run, but they would leave the tying run at third and winning run at second after reliever Marshall Lindgren got a ground-ball out to end the inning and game. Kael Kovar had two hits in the game, a single and a double and scored one run for Carrington, Grady Shipman had two hits, a double and a bunt single, an RBI and scored once. Jack Erickson scored three times, eight of the nine batters for Post 25 had at least one hit. Jace Nitscke gets the victory, working six and a third, Lindgren got the final two outs for the save. Joe Fode for the Rattlers had two hits, including a two-run home run and a single.

Trent Ekren takes the loss working five innings, Noah Paulson came in and worked the final two.

Next up for Carrington Post 25 will be on Monday at New Rockford, KDAK 1600/100.1 and newsdakota.com will have the game starting at 530pm.
