JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) West Fargo Aces pitcher Braxton Hoard didn’t allow a hit as the Aces roll past Carrington Post 25 by the final score of 13-1 in five innings, winning by 10-run rule Saturday evening. Carrington drops to 3-5 overall and 1-1 in pool play of the Mid-Summer Classic Legion Baseball tourney, WF Aces improve to 12-5 overall and 2-0 in pool play of the tournament.

Post 25 scored their only run of the game in the bottom of the fourth after a walk with the bases loaded, Lucas Hendrickson scored from third base. Hoard worked all five innings, 93 pitches, one earned run, five strikeouts and six walks. Grady Shipman started for Carrington, working three innings, seven earned runs, Kael Kovar worked two innings in relief, giving up six runs, four earned. The Aces had 12 hits, Brady Medina was 3-for-4 at the plate with two singles, a double, two RBI and scored four times.

Next up for Carrington in the Mid-Summer Classic Legion Baseball tourney will be on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. against Langdon.
