PERHAM, MN. (NewsDakota.com) – The Post 14 Eagles hit the road for four games of Legion baseball in two days as Jamestown went 2-2 with wins over host Perham and Delano Post 377 over the weekend.

DAY ONE: G1 – WAHPETON 7, JAMESTOWN 1 | G2 – JAMESTOWN 10, DELANO 6

After giving up five runs in the second inning and falling to Wahpeton in game one, the Eagles responded with a bounce-back win in game two over Delano Post 377. Connor Hoyt and Mason Lunzman combined for six of the nine RBIs in the second game as Jamestown put up 16 hits as a team. The Eagles trailed briefly in the fifth before scoring three runs to take the lead for good. Lunzman was 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Hoyt drove in four runs with a 2-for-4 performance and one walk. Jackson Walters got the win on the bump over Delano, going three innings and striking out two.

DAY TWO: G1 – DULUTH 16, JAMESTOWN 1 (5 inn.)| G2 – JAMESTOWN 17, PERHAM 7

The Eagles gave up 10 runs in the fourth inning to Duluth Lakeview on Sunday and committed four defensive errors in a game one loss to Post 28. In game two on Sunday, the Eagles posted 15 hits and hung nine runs on the board in the fourth inning to take down Perham and finish the weekend at .500. Preston Gall drove in four runs and Payton Hochhalter had three RBIs in an offensive barrage against Perham’s senior Legion team. Gage Orr earned the win after pitching six and two-thirds and giving up just one earned run. Jamestown and Perham combined for 12 errors defensively.

Post 14 now holds a 5-11 overall record on the year and will return to Jack Brown Stadium on Tuesday night to face Minot.
