VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – City-County Health District Administrator Theresa Will said those testing for COVID-19 continues to decline across the state and in the area.

She continues to encourage people to get a free COVID-19 home test kits available at their office and other locations in Barnes County.

COVID-19 testing is done by appointment, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at the City County Health District office in Valley City from 1pm to 2pm.

Will said COVID-19 vaccines are available for children six months and older.

She said booster shots are available for those 5 years of age or older.

Will said the vaccine for monkey pox is available at their office in Valley City. She talked about who is most vulnerable to contracting the monkey pox virus.

She said the monkey pox virus has been reported in other countries for year. So far, only one confirmed case has been reported in North Dakota.
