BISMARCK/MANDAN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – Thursday night was another busy night in Jamestown High School Athletics as the Blue Jays competed in four different sports, picking up three wins. Below are full results.

VOLLEYBALL: JAMESTOWN 3, BISMARCK HIGH 2

The #4 Blue Jays moved to 12-2 on the year and 5-2 in the WDA with a five-set win at Bismarck High. Full stats were still unavailable at the time of posting. Jamestown travels to Belcourt on Saturday to face Turtle Mountain before matches next week against St. Mary’s, Dickinson, and Watford City. The Jays will host Dickinson on Thursday and Watford City Saturday, October 1st.

SOCCER: JAMESTOWN 2, MANDAN 1

Jarrett Zalumskis and Gabe Jenison tallied goals in the first 15 minutes for the Blue Jays as Jamestown snapped a three-match losing streak with the win at Mandan. Jenison’s goal was unassisted in the third minute before Henry Yolain assisted on Zalumskis’ goal in the 14th. Zalumskis has a team-high six goals on the season and the goal for Jenison was his first. Grant Lunde made nine saves in net for Jamestown. The Jays round out the regular season in fifth place in the WDA and will host Dickinson in a play-in match in the WDA tournament next Tuesday, September 27th at the Rotary Soccer Field.

GIRL’S SWIMMING: JAMESTOWN 108, MANDAN 78

The Blue Jays took first place in every race with the exception of the 200-yard freestyle at home as Jamestown cruised to a victory over Mandan. Jamestown’s Allysah Larson qualified for the state meet in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 26.69 and in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of just over 1:05. Georgia Lettemaier and Alexes Prasek also are headed to state with qualifying times in the 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle, and 100-yard breaststroke. Jamestown travels to Minot on Friday.

BOY’S TENNIS: CENTURY 8, JAMESTOWN 1

Max Fronk earned the lone victory for the Blue Jays at #3 singles on Thursday night as Jamestown fell to Century in the final home meet of the year. Jamestown drops to 1-12 overall and 0-5 in the West Region with a trip to Williston on Friday.
