Aberdeen, SD (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City State Vikings Football beat the Presentation College Saints by a score of 28-10 on Saturday night.

The game started with a quick three and out from the Saints as the Viking defense held strong. The Vikings would then score a touchdown on the ensuing drive after marching down the field with Justice Bice and Taylor Simmons. The drive was finished with a Noah Chambers 9 yard touchdown run. The first quarter would end 7-0

The Saints would strike back for a 35 yard field goal on the next drive that ended at the start of the second quarter. The Vikings would score a little later in the quarter after trading punts with the Saints. The next score would be a 1 yard touchdown run from Chambers on a quarterback sneak. The Saints and Vikings would both punt on the next drives before the Saints marched down the field with under 4 minutes left in the half and score on a 30 yard touchdown run from Daryl Costen Jr. The half would end 14-10.

The Vikings would get forced to 4 and out to start the second half. However Colten Taylor would intercept Kaiden Frazier on the Saints 20 yard line giving the Vikings an extremely short field. The drive would culminate in a 9 yard touchdown pass to a wide open Trent Finney from Chambers. The Vikings would also score on their next drive after a 57 yard touchdown pass-catch-run  to Faaris Amegankpoe from Chambers. The quarter would end 28-10.

The fourth quarter was a defensive duel and no team was able to get a real opportunity. The Vikings would pick off Tim Evitt to end the game with Anthony Russel getting the interception.

Noah Chambers was given the Ivy Real Estate Group Player of the Game. He went 13-18 in the air for 191 yards with 2 passing and 2 rushing touchdowns.
