VALLEY CITY, ND. (NewsDakota.com) –With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Barnes County law enforcement has created a special way to raise funds and highlight the issue.

The Barnes County Sheriff’s Department and the Barnes County Correctional Center have created breast cancer-awareness-themed uniform patches that will be on sale to the public, with proceeds going to a local breast cancer awareness organization.

Emma Nelson, the Barnes County Sheriff’s Department office deputy, says the beneficiary of the proceeds will be chosen soon, with the idea of keeping those proceeds as local as possible.

The patches will be $10 each, and can be purchased as a set or a single for whichever branch an individual would like to choose.  Fans will be able to find the point of sale near the concession stand at Hanna Field.
