SIOUX CITY, IA. (NewsDakota.com) – Senior Kalli Hegerle was named the GPAC Player of the Year for women’s volleyball as the University of Jamestown had seven members named All-GPAC in 2022.

Hegerle becomes the first Jimmie to win player of the year honors in women’s volleyball since Jamestown joined the GPAC. Her .334 attack percentage this season is currently top-25 in the NAIA. Hegerle has nine matches this season where she has recorded at least 10 digs, 10 assists, and 10 kills in a match.

Ellie Holen was selected as the GPAC Libero of the Year. Holen is currently fifth in the NAIA in digs on the season and sixth in the NAIA in digs per set. Anna Holen earned GPAC First Team honors for the second time in her career. Anna’s team-high 373 kills ranks 52nd in the country.

Lexi Olson and Darienne Johnson were named to the GPAC Second Team and Logan Sherman and Aleah Zieske each earned an honorable mention all-conference nod.

Head Coach Jon Hegerle was tabbed the GPAC Coach of the Year for the third consecutive season. Hegerle has helped lead the Jimmies to at least 30 wins in four consecutive seasons.

The Jimmies open up the national tournament on Saturday at 3 PM from Newman Arena against Saint Ambrose University.
