JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce hopes to track as much money locally as they did last year with their Loyal to Local Passport program this holiday season.

The program was first introduced in 2021 to help spur local economic growth and encourage residents and visitors to shop in Jamestown. This supports the Chamber’s mission of growing and promoting local business.

Chamber Executive Director Emily Bivens says participants can take the booklet to participating businesses, seeking stamps for a purchase of $50 or more. When the booklet reaches $250, it is then turned in for a chance to win donated prizes from other local businesses.

Both Chamber businesses and non-Chamber businesses have signed up to participate. Bivens added they have more businesses participating this year and they’re hoping to track more than $125,000 in local spending again.

Prizes that are winnable can be found at Zimmerman’s Furniture in Jamestown. Bivens says they’ll start the program on November 26, which is Small Business Saturday. It will run through January 6, where they’ll then draw from the passports to give out prizes.
