William “Bill” Hruska passed away on Thursday, March 9th, 2023, after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Bill Hruska was born November 10, 1946, in Fort Dodge, IA and attended school at St. Edmond’s Catholic school followed by draftsman technical training. Bill’s career was focused on designing mechanical parts, he worked for several years at UTC (formally known as Western Gear) and Polaris in Roseau. Highlights from his career include design of the F14 and B1 Bomber. Once retired, he devoted his time to his passions: supporting God’s missionary work and serving his church, spent many years with Gideon’s in Bible distribution and Jail Ministry also remodeling his house which was a carry through with his love for design, and his many outdoor hobbies.

Bill was survived by his wife, Janette Hruska of Jamestown, ND; children Laura (Michael) McDowell of Pleasant Hill, CA, William Joe (Amanda) Hruska Jr., Manitowoc WI, Melissa (Greg) McMurtrey, Wildwood Mo, Jeff (Dulce) Hruska Tabor, SD, Terri (Ian) Spedding, Fargo, ND; 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; siblings, Joyce Trickel, Indianola, IA, Henry Hruska, Fort Dodge, IA and Carolyn (Mike) Miller, Indianola, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence Hruska and his wife Helen and stepson, Nathan Medicraft.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 17, 2023 at First Assembly of God with Pastor Jeff Wiedenmeyer officiating.
