LETHBRIDGE, AB – Even better pitching couldn’t stop the Jamestown Eagles’ losing streak.

Despite allowing only five hits, Jamestown had only four themselves and lost Sunday 3-2 to the Red Deer Rangers in the Eagles’ final game in the Mary Oikawa Memorial Tournament at Spitz Stadium, Jamestown’s sixth consecutive defeat.

Jaxon Kolpin allowed three runs and five hits in four innings.  Thomas Newman struck out three in two scoreless and hitless innings.

Mason Joesph drove in the runs for the Eagles (5-10) with a double in the fifth inning.  Jamestown stranded two runners on base in that inning, two in the sixth and another in the seventh.

On Tuesday, Jamestown will meet the Medicine Hat Moose Monarchs in Medicine Hat, Alberta.
