The Development Corporation requested a special meeting with the Barnes County Commission to discuss workforce. The meeting is Wednesday, July 10th at 5:30 pm at the Barnes County Courthouse (Commission Chambers).
The conversation is an opportunity to exchange ideas and understand concerns that center around workforce challenges, building the workforce pipeline, training, capacity building, dual credits, and working with Barnes County educational partners. This isn’t a budget session or financial request; however, funding questions/how funds could be used may come up.
Spokeswoman Jennifer Feist said we have invited representatives of the Sheyenne Valley Area Career & Technology Center, Valley City Public School District, Barnes County North, Litchville and Maple Valley School Districts, Valley City State University and the City of Valley City to attend.
