Women in Leadership Development (WILD) is a relatively new program to NDFU. The goal of the WILD program is to give women the skills and encouragement they need to become active leaders within their community. The program provides leadership training, motivational seminars and networking opportunities for women statewide to give them the tools they need to take on leadership roles in their communities and within the state.
The WILD program was created in response to the overwhelming male-dominated presence in leadership positions statewide. WILD is aimed to increase diversity on cooperative boards and in agriculture and community leadership roles. In addition, more women need to be recognized as an integral part of North Dakota agriculture.
There is a Real Colors personality assessment, action planning, activities, lunch with ND Women’s Network and an AMAZING insurance agent who will tell us all about being a female in a stereotypically male dominated field. There is an optional barre fitness class Friday morning, and coffee provided by Plantation Coffee. We also have a great catered lunch from Emma Rosie’s catering!
The event runs Nov. 14-15 at the NDFU State Office in Jamestown. Cost to register is $50.
