Valley City, N.D…The Jimmies  and the Vikings hooked up in DAC volleyball on Wednesday night in Valley City at Graichen Gymnasium, and the two teams treated a record crowd to a terrific match, before the Vikings prevailed in five games. 

With 388 fans on hand, which broke the old record of 336 set back in 2009, Valley City took game one 25-21, the Jimmies bounced back to take game two 25-19, and game three 25-17, but the Vikings recovered to take game four 25-19, and the final game 15-13.

Sarah Becker and Heather Brown led Jamestown in kills with 12, Jada Meiklejohn came through with 23 assits, and Katie Lee led the team in digs with 23. The Vikings were led by Anna Neufeld with 33 assits and 12 digs, and Rebekah DePesa with 11 kills and 11 digs.

The Jimmies slip to 1-1 in the DAC, and 10-7 over-all. Valley City improves to 2-0 in the conference, and 6-11 over-all. The two teams will rematch in Jamestown on October 26th.
