(NewsDakota.com) – Two teams each from Jamestown High School and Medina High School will compete Wednesday in the LifeSmarts state finals at the State Capital in Bismarck.

The state competition is in its 15th year and tests teens in grades 9-12 about personal finance, health and safety, the environment, technology, and consumer rights and responsibilities. It is hosted by the Attorney General’s office.

According to a release from the Attorney General’s office, the competition begins at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, with teams competing in a series of elimination rounds to reach the final round. The state champion team advances to the national finals in Philadelphia later this year.

High schools competing in the state finals are: Jamestown (two teams), Medina (two teams), New England (two teams), Burke Central, Central Cass, Milnor, Northern Cass and Ray.
