CITY  (NewsDakota.com)–The Hi-Liner boys basketball team travels to Devils Lake tonight, as they begin closing down their regular season with a 2-point Eastern Dakota Conference (EDC) matchup with the Firebirds.

The Firebirds are 3-13 overall, 3-11 in EDC play.  The Hi-Liners are 0-15 in EDC play.  The game is a big opportunity game for Devils Lake, as a win by the Firebirds would put them in a position to host an EDC play-in game.

Valley City can finish no higher than ninth in the EDC, and must win tonight and at Shanley next Tuesday, and also get help from Fargo South and Grand Forks Central beating Devils Lake to close the season, to move to ninth.

The game will be broadcast on KOVC-AM 1490, with pregame coverage beginning at 7:15 p.m.
