CITY  (NewsDakota.com)–Valley City State University football players have their official report date Wednesday.

Light drills will begin Wednesday.  Full practice begins Thursday.

Valley City State plays it’s first official game August 30th at Morningside College, the lone team to defeat the Vikings last year.  The game will be in Sioux City, IA.

The Vikings were 9-1, won the final Dakota Athletic Conference (DAC) title, and appeared in the national playoffs in 2011, their first playoff appearance since 2001.
