Jays Head North To Open Up 2012 Season (Audio)

(NewsDakota.com)- The Jamestown Blue Jays will open up their 2012 football season tonight on the road at Devils Lake.

The two teams are coming off quite different results from a season ago. The Firebirds were the EDC Co-champs and graduated a large number of seniors. They are picked to finish 7th (last) in the EDC this season.

Jamestown was win-less in 2011, but are under new management. Tim Fletcher, who played for the Jays in the early 90’s, has taken over as the head coach of his alma mater.

The Jays and Firebirds will play tonight in Devils Lake with a 7pm kick-off. The game can be heard on KQDJ-AM 1400 and NewsDakota.com with the pregame show starting around 6:35pm.
