FARGO, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Magellan fuel distribution center in West Fargo will shut-down for maintenance starting on September 14.

The shut-down could create a fuel shortage in the region according to Dakota Plains Cooperative General Manager Ken Astrup. He’s advising growers and others who purchase large amounts of fuel to do so before the September 14 shut-down.

Astrup says the cooperatives trucks will have to drive to Grand Forks or Alexandria, Minnesota to get fuel for their customers in this region. The shut-down is expected to be completed between September 19 or the 21.
