CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) “Secret Santa” is in it’s second year in Barnes County and members of the Sheriff’s Department are working to make Christmas a little brighter for families in need.

Sheriff Randy McClaflin said, “we work with social services to see what a families needs are and then purchase items or even pay off an electrical bill to help the whole family.”

McClaflin said, “it’s a joy to see the surprise on people’s faces that have no idea that others thought of them for a generous gift.”

Monetary donations for the “Secret Santa” raised in Barnes County help Barnes County families. For more information about “Secret Santa” or to donate call Deputy Scott Crump at 845-8530.
