CITY (NewsDakota.com) – Another night and another sweep for the Valley City State basketball teams.

After a few games on the road, VCSU returned home to take care of Presentation College on Thursday night, winning the women’s game 90-49 and the men’s game 69-55.

The Viking men improve to 7-2 overall, and are now 4-0 in home games, something head coach Jeff Kaminsky made a priority this season.

Gus Kueber led the Vikings with 20 points and nine rebounds, and Sekani Milligen scored 16, including a breakaway dunk.

The Vikings led by as many as 20 points in the second half following a fastbreak layup by Anthony Saavedra.

In the women’s game, Brittany Lehner scored 15 points and Ashli Lee 13 as the Viking women improved their record to 7-1. Lehner improved her season shooting percentage to 63 percent, and is emerging as a go-to player says coach Jill DeVries.

Lehner leads the Vikings in scoring at 15 points per game, and is shooting 63 percent from the field, putting her in the Top 5 in field goal percentage in the NAIA.

The Vikings are in action again Friday night, hosting Trinity Bible College for a men’s and women’s doubleheader at the W.E. Osmon Fieldhouse. Game times are 5:30 and 7:30 p.m.
