(NewsDakota.com)- The University of Jamestown finished up their spring break trip to Tucson with a record on 10-1 on Saturday after falling to St. Cloud 16-6 in the finale. A pair of Jimmies were named the first ever North Star Athletic Association player and pitcher of the week.

Nolan Skowronek picked up player of the week honors, after the senior second baseman went 15-36 over the course of the eleven games. The Gilbert, AZ native was among the top-hitters in the NAIA in 2013. His average dipped down to .370 at seasons end, but heading into the conference tournament was above .400 and in the mix at the top of the country.

West Fargo native Tanner Dahl has continued his impressive run, moving his record to 2-1 while on the trip. The sophomore struck out 17 batters in 14 innings, while allowing just eight hits.

The Jimmies are heading to Sioux City, IA to play a weekend set of games against Briar Cliff and then heading to Midland (NE) before finishing up with a single nine-inning game with Morningside.
