(NewsDakota.com)- Jamestown High senior McKayla Orr has decided to continue her basketball career at the University of Jamestown. Orr is a three-sport athlete who always competes in volleyball and track for JHS.

Orr was an integral part of the Blue Jay volleyball team that won the state title in 2013. She was an all-state libero, whose 39 digs in the title match is a North Dakota record for the championship match.

She signed her letter of intent to play for Coach Greg Ulland and the Jimmies on Tuesday night. Orr averaged 14 points, 5.9 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 3.5 assists per game in her senior season.

In the WDA tournament she guided Jamestown to the state tournament for the second straight year with her 36 point effort against Belcourt in the state qualifier, which was good enough to tie the WDA tournament record and third all-time in a game for a Blue Jay.
