N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A successful season has wrapped up at Elks Camp Grassick, seeing nearly 110 children and 75 adults with different disabilities and special needs throughout the summer.

The summer camp is held for children and adults that are physically or mentally challenged or who other special needs. Nearly 40 members staffed different portions of the camp including a focus on children ages 7 through 17 in the first two weeks and later sessions with adults.

Staff members were employed to offer therapy services and conduct different sessions. The staff did encourage the campers to become as independent as possible in their activities. Campers were encouraged to become as independent as possible in their activities of daily living in order to practice and use appropriate social skills.
