Jamestown lead by four at the break and for the second straight game they came storming out of the gates to open the second half. They had outscored VCSU 20-4 in the first minutes of the second half on Wednesday. On Saturday, it was a 23-6 start for the Jimmies in the first eight minutes, to extend their lead to 22.

MBB: Jimmies 65, Comets 46

They can do it scoring 95 or they can do it scoring 65, it doesn’t matter. All that matters is Coach Alan Magnani’s Jimmies have won their 10th straight. In a suffocating defensive effort they held the Comets to just 46 points.

Jamestown lead early 21-9, but the Comets were able to get within four again in the second half. That was as close as it got. Brequan Tucker lead the Jimmies with 21 points. Tucker is 10th in the NAIA in scoring average with 22.1 ppg.

Both teams are back in action coming up on Wednesday when they host Dickinson State. You can catch all the action on ESPN Jamestown 1400/97.1 and NewsDakota.com.
