N.D.  (NewsDakota.com)  Carrington scores 26 combined runs in two games as they sweep the Harwood Hogs Post 297 last night, 16-1 and 10-0, both games by 10-run rule in five innings.  Post 25 improves to 9-1 and 17-7 overall, Post 297 drops to 2-6 and 3-11 overall.  Carrington Post 25 is in first place in the Central Region, May/Port is in second at 5-1.

In the first game yesterday, Carrington hit back-to-back home runs in the top of the first inning to jump out to an early 3-0 lead.  Connor Wendel hit a 2-run homer, followed by Brady Smith with a solo shot, both to left field.  Easton Paeper had three hits as well, including three RBI and scored three runs for Post 25.  Smith was the winning pitcher, Tyler Veen took the loss.  In the bottom of the third inning, Austin Larson scored the only run for Post 297 after a single by Carson Bunn.  

In the second game of the evening, Jayden Shipman took the mound and worked all five innings for a complete game shutout.  Shipman, normally on the Babe Ruth team for Carrington, made his starting pitcher debut for the Legion team and allowed just five hits, two strikeouts and no walks.  Brady Smith was 3-for-3 at the plate for Post 25 including a 3-run blast to left field, his second home run of the day.  Tanner Reber took the loss.
