N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Stutsman County United Way provides funding for 18 organizations in the county and has reported that they are currently $30,000 behind on their goal.

The set $210,000 goal would assist organizations ranging from the Salvation Army to the James River Senior Center Public Transit. President Megan Aldinger stated that the group sends packets to businesses for assistance and after receiving most of those back, they’ve found they are still short of their goal.

Stutsman County keeps 99% of all funds raised local, benefiting numerous organizations. If the group doesn’t reach their goal, services will have to be cut down.

Aldinger pointed out that the group has been able to reach their goal in each of the past 5 years.

Stutsman County United Way has until February 29th to reach their goal.
