N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Public Works Committee approved a draft concerning options for the Storm Water Utility implementation on Thursday, July 21st.

Shawn Gaddie with AE2S provided an updated version of the option previously picked by the committee. Gaddie stated that he had more information regarding the option and was there to receive approval of a draft for implementation.

Gaddie said the most important thing with the draft is full implementation wouldn’t take place for the next 6 to 8 months.

The cost of services for the contract of the agreement is $98,000 spread over two budget periods. The draft was accepted unanimously.

In other business, the committee voted on a 3 to 1 vote to ban parking in the 1000 block of 10th Street Southeast with Mayor Katie Andersen voting in opposition. The committee also heard from Central Valley Health’s Tammy Dillman, who reported that they had received funding to provided signs promoting walking in the community.

Dillman pointed out that they would need city assistance attaching the signs and finding locations for them to be placed. Discussion will continue on this in the future.
