N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Regional Medical Center built its new location with the dream of having cancer treatment available to the region.

And now, cancer care will become a reality.

Marketing Manager Katie Ryan-Anderson reports that the JRMC Cancer Center will provide chemotherapy infusions for more than 100 Jamestown area residents while eliminating more than 160,000 miles of travel per year.

“The hospital is asking for the community’s support as it continues to recruit an oncologist and raise the money to offer the service,” Ryan-Anderson says in a release. “JRMC Foundation has already raised $650,000 of it’s $1.5 million goal.”

An official announcement and presentation will be held on Tuesday, December 13th from the JRMC and Thrivent. A free pasta luncheon will be held beginning at noon, sponsored by Thrivent Financial.
