N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – 10 year-old Carsten made a wish that would last more than just a moment in time. He made a wish that will last forever.

On Friday, Carsten’s wish came true.

Make-A-Wish North Dakota heard Carsten’s wish to have a room makeover that featured amenities for his cat, Gracee. His room makeover will incorporate many of his favorite things including his cat, his love of gaming, his favorite color and more.

Carsten shared his ideas and most wanted list with his wish granting volunteers and contractor when work began on his room. Carsten was surprised Friday when he saw the fully completed room for the first time.

“Carsten’s wish is the result of many partners coming together to accomplish a single goal of making a child’s one true wish come true,” the group says in a release. “A special thank you to CC Bliss Contracting, Scott’s Electric, Inc., Slumberland Furniture, Toys “R” Us and PetSmart for their help making Carsten’s wish come true.”

Make-A-Wish grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Since its inception, Make-A-Wish North Dakota has granted over 800 wishes across the state.
