FORKS, N.D. National Weather Service Forecaster Greg Gust says an early and gentle thaw continues for northeastern North Dakota. He says this has reduced the snow-melt flood threat overall even into the Park River and Devils Lake Basin (slightly).

Gust says there are no big storms expected over the greater Red River Valley for the next week or so. He added, a gentle warming trend is expected for the next week to 10 days with only slight amounts of additional precipitation.

Meanwhile, the flood forecast for the southern end of the Sheyenne River Valley remains good for now. He says spring run off should remain minor for the Sheyenne River in Valley City.
