N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The World Famous Harlem Globetrotters are continuing their nationwide tour and have made their stop in North Dakota.

In a release, star player Buckets Blakes joined Governor Doug Burgum to make a trick shot from the top of the North Dakota State Capitol Building in Bismarck. The 242-foot shot is now on record as the highest basketball shot in the history of North Dakota.

The current world tour has planned stops at the Scheels Arena in Fargo, Alerus Center in Grand Forks on April 22nd and the Bismarck Civic Center on April 25th.

“Globetrotters’ rookie Devan “Beast” Douglas will return to Bismarck for the first time as a member of the world famous team,” the release states. ” Beast was the 2016 College Slam Dunk Champion and starred for the University of Mary in Bismarck.  Beast was also onsite for Buckets’ historic shot.”
