CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- The Spartans were able to come away with the 2 point EDC win Thursday night in Valley City. The Hi-Liners were held to just 4 hits in the 4-1 loss. Valley City falls to 2-5 overall and in the conference while Fargo North is now 4-2. Tuesday night The Hi-Liners travel to West Fargo to face Sheyenne in an EDC Doubleheader. 

Ava Kalbrener opened scoring for North with a 2 out solo home run in the 2nd inning. They’d add another run in the 3rd and 2 more runs in the 6th. The Hi-Liners had base runners in nearly every innings but did not score until the 6th when Mackenzie Pederson brought home Kacee White with a double. 

Both pitchers got complete games on the night Sami Trana scattered 4 hits with 11 strike outs for the win. Grace Scherr struck out 2 in the loss.
