N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Bismarck man escaped serious injuries after falling asleep at the wheel Monday afternoon west of Jamestown.

Ryan Fetch, 20, of Bismarck, was traveling westbound on I-94 when he fell asleep at the wheel. He woke up in the median and over-corrected, traveling across both westbound and eastbound lanes and entered the north ditch. The vehicle overturned onto its roof in a slough and was removed.

Fetch missed deeper waters, which could have been serious. He suffered no injures and was given a ride into Jamestown. He was cited with care required.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol and Barnes County Ambulance assisted with the incident.
