N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – CHI St. Alexius Health, Carrington has been named to the Top 20 Critical Access Hospital List for overall performance in the country.

“This is the third time since 2014 that CHI St. Alexius Health has been recognized with the Top 20 distinction,” says Nicole Threadgold, Foundation Director and Marketing Coordinator.

The Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals scored best among critical access hospitals on iVantage health Analytics’ Hospital Strength Index. The rankings were announced by the National Rural Health Association (NRHA) and will be recognized during the NRHA’s Critical Access Hospital Conference in September in Kansas City, Missouri.

The Top 20 Critical Access Hospital “winners” are those who have achieved success in overall performance based on a composite rating from eight indices of strength. They include inpatient market share, quality, outcomes, costs, charges and more.

“CHI St. Alexius Health, Carrington is extremely proud of the efforts of its medical providers and staff who have contributed to our hospital achieving this designation,” said Mariann Doeling, RN, President of CHI St. Alexius Health, Carrington. “Our results as a top overall performing hospital in the United States means our community can count on us to deliver the local services they need now and in the future.”

CHI St. Alexius Health, Carrington celebrated its 100th year in the community in 2016.
