BISMARCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Office of State Tax Commissioner will be extending office hours until 8 p.m. on Monday, April 16th and Tuesday, April 17.

Taxpayers may stop by the 16th floor of the North Dakota State Capitol Building for assistance with, or to drop off, their North Dakota individual income taxes. Those unable to stop by, may call the individual income tax staff at 701-328-1247.

The individual income tax deadline is April 17th this year because the 15th falls on a Sunday and Emancipation Day, is a federal holiday in Washington, D.C., for which the IRS office is closed on Monday the 16th.

If taxpayers are unable to file by the April 17th deadline, they will need to file an extension prior to the deadline.
