JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Jamestown man is facing jail time after committing false reports to law enforcement and a fraudulent insurance act.

According to court documents, Dylan Herbert Buerkley of Jamestown was accused of telling a law enforcement officer that his fish house had been stolen. He filed a false insurance claim regarding his fish house of more than $10,000, but less than $50,000 on February 14th, 2017.

Buerkley was sentenced to 90 days in the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation with 80 days served by electronic home monitoring with work release.

According to the Stutsman County Clerk of Courts, Buerkley had failed to complete his jail sentence. He was arrested on a warrant and will now be serving the remainder of his sentence.
