NAPOLEON, N.D.  (NewsDakota.com) Both the Imperials and Cardinals will be the number one seeds in each of their upcoming district tournaments, but first they had to meet in the regular season on Tuesday night. The first and third set were back and forth but the Cardinals would still get the sweep over the Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter Imperials 3-0 (25-17, 25-20, 25-20). Carrington improves to 26-7 overall, NGS drops to 21-8.

Senior Kayden Mehring had a match high nine kills, followed by Junior Bella Hone with eight kills, three stuff blocks and two aces for Carrington.  Freshman Ashley Schmitt led NGS with six kills and one ace.

Next up for Carrington will be on Monday in Pingree, for another Region 3 contest with Medina/Pingree/Buchanan, AM 1600, FM 100.1 and newsdakota.com will have the coverage starting about 7pm.

Carrington will be the number one seed in the District 5 tourney in Ellendale which starts October 25th, NGS will be the number one seed in the District 6 tourney in Hazelton which starts October 29th.
