VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com.com)- The 2018-19 season begins at home this weekend for VCSU Men’s Basketball. Under 3rd year head coach Ryan Montgomery, The Vikings will showcase a revamped line up with all 5 starter from a year ago lost to graduation.

VCSU didn’t let adversity define their 2017-18 season, they won their final 5 conference games to came back from a 2-9 NSAA record and make the postseason. Coach Montgomery says the final weeks showed what the team was truly capable of

 

Overall 6 seniors would not be returning from last season, leaving The Vikings to fill their team. One focus in recruiting was to balance the roster

 

The first four game of the year will be at The W.E. Osmon Fieldhouse beginning Friday with Brandon University. The Vikings have a quick turn with a Providence College Sunday.

Sunday’s game will be part of a doubleheader with the women, its also Elementary Day where kids under the age of 12 and their parents get in for free.

Tip-off Friday is at 5 and Sunday at  4.
