COLFAX, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Garrett Meehl had two rushing touchdowns, including one for 83 yards, as the Oakes High football team punched a ticket to the Class 9-Man Quarterfinals after a 30-6 win over Richland Saturday afternoon.

Oakes (8-1) trailed 6-0 at the end of the first quarter courtesy of a five yard touchdown pass from Cole Myers to Trenton Dufner. The Tornadoes would then score the next 30 unanswered, including Meeh’s long scoring run, which surpassed his season total of rushing yards.

The Tornadoes head to Napoleon to meet the Region III Champion Imperials of Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter on Saturday, October 27.
