N.D.–The Jamestown/Stutsman Development Corporation Board of Directors approved a Flex PACE request from the Super 8 motel, as they are looking to add 20 units to their property. The additional rooms will be built separate from the existing Super 8 motel property. These new rooms would also rent out at a lower cost then existing rooms and would be primarily rented out to truck drivers.
The hope is to free up rooms at the hotel where families can stay during tournaments and other events.
The request is up to $85,000 in local moneys as part of the Flex PACE loan program. If approved by the Jamestown City Council and the Stutsman County Commission, the city and county would split the funds. The city’s share would be $68,000 and the county would be $17,000.
The local share of the $85,000 will be paid back to the fund after the initial note is paid.
