N.D. — Jamestown College announces Cisco Cole has resigned his position as head men’s and women’s wrestling coach.

In his letter of resignation, Cole thanked the College for its support during his time as head coach, but felt that his decision to resign was in the best interest of his family and the College.  “It is with regret and a heavy heart that I tend my resignation, but also with clarity and understanding,” writes Cole.  “I feel that it is time for me to search out a different career path that will allow me more time with my family.”

“Providing a positive experience for our student-athletes to learn and compete is our number one priority,” said Athletic Director Lawrie Paulson. “We thank Cisco for his years of commitment to Jamestown College and wish him well as he pursues other interests.”

A search committee has already been established to expedite the hiring of a replacement in time for the 2011-12 men’s and women’s seasons.
