City, N.D. — AgCountry Farm Credit Services has donated nearly one acre of land on which the Medicine Wheel Park rests next door to the agencies new building.

VCSU professor and founder of the park Dr. Joe Stickler says students and volunteers in the community worked hard for years landscaping and building the park along Winter Show Road in Valley City.

AgCountry Regional Vice President Curt Van Dyke and Senior Vice President Marv Langerud both said the park and the care given to it are exceptional and its a nice neighbor to have next door for the community to enjoy.

Dr. Stickler says the park has been a labor of love and he borrowed a newspaper quote during a Thursday morning news conference and said, “Medicine Wheel Park is at the intersection of the University and the community.

VCSU President Dr. Steven Shirley echoed those comments about the positive impact the park has had on the community and university.
