CITY (NewsDakota.com)–The sports season continues for the Hi-Linger girls golf team and cross-country teams today.
The girls golf team competes in a full Eastern Dakota Conference (EDC) meet at Bois De Sioux near Wahpeton, hosted by the Huskies. The Hi-Liners finished ninth in the last EDC meet, but were just 14 shots out of the sixth-place position.
Sixth place is important, as the top six teams in the final EDC meet qualify for state.
The Hi-Liner cross-country teams compete in the Northwood Invitational today. Neither team could fill out a varsity team in their last meet in Jamestown, but with a lot of Class “B” competition today, may do so.
Tomorrow starts the football and volleyball season, with the volleyball team at a tournament in Bismarck and the football team hosting Carrington.
