Mark McKenzie(NewsDakota.com)…The 2011 season championships were held on Saturday night at Jamestown Speedway, as drivers battled for titles in five classes.

Mike Stearns won the feature in the Wissota Modifieds, Billie Christ took the feature in the Wissota Street Stocks, Rusty Kollman captured the feature race in the Wissota Midwest Mods, Bryan Wolf won the feature in the Bombers, and Sean Johnson took the feature in the Hornets.

The final standings stack up like this; Season champs are, Jeff Vogel of Marion in the Bombers, Sean and Dylan Johnson of Fargo in the Hornets, John Corell of Jamestown in the Wissota Modifieds, Rusty Kollman is the 2011 champ in the Wissota Midwest Mods, and Troy Nelson takes the Wissota Street Stocks title.

You can double your pleasure this weekend at Jamestown Speedway with two nights of racing. Due to the holiday weekend, races will take place on Saturday and Sunday nights. Saturday it’s the Midwest Mod’s special starting at 7:00 p.m., and on Sunday night, its the Street Stock special starting at 6:00 p.m.. Various jackpots and purses will be up for grabs this weekend for the drivers.

The 2011 season will wrap up at Jamestown Speedway with the 40th annual Stockcar Stampede, on Friday and Saturday September 23rd and 24th.
