High School Girls:        

Paige Peterson   Sophomore   Blue Jay Swimming & Diving

Brianna Johnson  Sophomore  Blue Jay Swimming & Diving

Paige was on the A 200 and 400 Freestyle Relays and she qualified for State in the 100 and 50 freestyle.

Brianna was on the A 200 Medley Relay and she qualified for State in the 100 Backstroke.

High School Boys:                  

Danny Fischer   Senior Blue Jay Tennis

Danny earned two wins to lead the Jays to a 9-0 win over Valley City. Danny earned a straight set win at #1 singles and teamed up with Riley Schafer to also win in straight sets at #1 doubles, setting the pace for the rest of the team in their sweep of the Hi-Liners.

Female College Athlete of the Week

Kelsey Ross Freshman Jimmie Women’s Golf team
Hometown: Long Prairie, Minnesota

Kelsey shot a 78 to win her the first collegiate tournament she competed in at the Jimmie Open. She was the only golfer who shot in the 70s and finished 4 shots ahead of her nearest competitor.

Male College Athlete of the Week

Jack Bietz Junior Jimmie Men’s Golf Team
Hometown: Bismarck, North Dakota

Jack shot a career best 71 enroute to winning the Jimmie Open last week. Bietz’s 71 helped secure a tie for 1st with Minot State for the Men’s Team title in their opening tournament.
